So, you’ve stumbled onto my blog. Welcome!
I’ve been wanting to do this for many years, but fear of not being able to swing the bat has kept me from stepping up to the plate. There are so many things I wish I could do and as I scroll through social media and see all these people achieving things I wish I could achieve and all I can think is “What do they do differently?” or “What is their super power?”.
Do you sometimes feel like you’re average? I look on Instagram and see so many perfect-looking houses. The craziest thing to me? All their bathroom towels MATCH. They match! Every single one! And look at how beautiful and relaxing it makes their bathroom look.
My towels don’t match. Nope. My towels are mostly from housewarming gifts from people who, bless their souls, did not know what color scheme I had for my bathroom. When my husband and I combined our belongings, the range of colors only increased. How do I come up with a beautiful magazine worthy bathroom with 7 different colored towels?!
I’m not complaining. Really, I’m so grateful for everything that was given to us. We are blessed with so many generous friends and family. But there is always something inside me that wishes I had all white, fluffy towels.
I could go out and buy some. However, that’s not really practical. There’s nothing wrong with the towels we have- they do their job well. So I find ways to make it work.
We have one bathroom in our house and in it, you have the ability to shower, pee and wash your hands all at the same time! It’s small. But I think I do a pretty good job of making this talented little bathroom look almost magazine worthy, practical, functional and budget friendly.
That, is the point of my blog!
I want to help you do the same thing- make the most of what you have. I see so many women on Instagram sharing all their decor ideas and I can only dream to have the budget they do! However, I can still get some of the things they get, but in my own way.
I’m not going to lie, my house is not straight out of a magazine. Better Homes and Gardens has not called to tell me that they are going to feature my kitchen on the front page of their magazine this month. However, I’m proud of my little home.
