Simple Ideas For Fall Decor

Sharing is caring!

Guys, it’s FALL and I have some fun ideas for fall decor this year.

I live in Maine, so I feel like this time of year is EXTRA dreamy for us here. All the leaves changing color makes those mountain views breathtaking.

The weather tends to hangout in the 60s most days which makes me even more excited to snuggle up in a big sweater, slide on a pair of fuzzy socks and wrap my hands around a warm, pumpkin spiced drink.

Now, I just need a fireplace.

Fall is also my favorite time of the year for home decor. There is something about it that just feels so cozy.

I like to have a lot of neutrals with subtle pops of orange throughout my décor. Simple sometimes speaks the loudest.

This is the time of year that my house probably smells the best. My poor husband thinks he’s walking home to a freshly baked pie in the oven every day.

Nope. That’s just an apple pie candle being lit in the kitchen, a pumpkin spiced air freshener in the living room and an apple cider candle lit in the dining room.

I LOVE ALL FALL SCENTS.

Seriously, I could keep my house smelling like apple pie and pumpkin spice all year round.

Are they not the coziest smells?! Mixed with the crisp cold air outside… yup. Bring me all the fall things.

Best Place for Fall Decor

For fall decor this year, I headed to Joann Fabrics for their collection. It’s my new favorite place to buy decor. I love their style and if you shop on the right time with sales, you can get amazing things for great prices!

Joann’s fall décor this year is mostly modern featuring items with wood, black metal and leather. They also have a variety of glass and knit pumpkins.

I absolutely love the wood, black and leather style though and my favorite thing about this collection is that I can use so many of the items all year. They have a warm, autumn feel making our home feel cozy, but I can definitely pair them with other items later to adapt to the seasons.

Entryway Bench Ideas for Fall Decor

My goal for our entryway bench way to just bring comfort and warmth right when people walk into our home. To get the cozy feel, I threw pillows, a blanket and some knit pumpkins all together to get a comfortable vibe. My home decor style is typically modern farmhouse so I mixed in a few modern pieces with a country farmhouse look.

Kitchen and Table Ideas for Fall Decor

I’m working on updating my kitchen lately and trying to incorporate modern metals with natural wood to bring a clean modern farmhouse look. So, my ideal look for our kitchen was to keep it clean with pops of orange color to bring autumn into the room. Check out my budget friendly kitchen update here. Our dining room is connected to our living room so I tried to add a little more comfort to the table by adding in the knit pumpkin with the warm florals.

Living Room Ideas for Fall Decor

My mother-in-law own a lavender farm here in Maine and I’ve had the opportunity to help her in her shop from time to time. I get to work with the lavender and experiment ways to use it in home decor. This year I incorporated it into my fall decor. It brings simple, subtle touches of beauty into the room. Check out her website!
